Chickahominy Riverfront Park offers activities such as camping, fishing, swimming, or hitting golf balls. They have a four wide boat ramp to launch boats or one can rent one of theirs for a day out on the river. Freedom Park is 500-acres and offers numerous trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts are available to add for visitor activities.

Little Creek Reservoir Park is located on a 996-acre reservoir. Its 38.5-acre site offers year-round fishing, boating and picnicking. Facilities include a 104 foot fishing pier, paved boat launch ramp and dock, 30 slip rental boat dock, picnic tables and grills, restrooms and a covered shelter for picnics. A new concession building features sodas, snacks, maps, hats, ponchos and ice. Jon boats, trolling motors, batteries, canoes and paddleboats are available for rental.

Upper County Park is a 56-acre site offering visitors 25m outdoor swimming pool, volleyball court, basketball court, and picnic shelter that seats approximately 100 with 3 grills, picnic tables in woodland areas, and playground equipment. Rest rooms and showers are available. Visitors may rent the pool and picnic shelter. The park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
